mx44 software package provides polyphonic, multichannel midi realtime software synthesizer, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mx44
mx44 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mx44 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mx44 *
You will get with mx44 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
